Please follow all rules when you are playing on our Starmade Server, if you fail to do so then you may be banned as a result of this!

 

Brierie's StarMade Order 10-00 Series

 

Common Sense is REQUIRED
Defined -- Common sense is a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge things which is shared by "common to" nearly all people and can be reasonably expected of nearly all people without any need for debate.



BSMO 10-01 Player Etiquette

A) SPAMMING OR USING FULL-CAPS LOCK SENTENCES IS A KICK-ABLE/BAN-ABLE OFFENSE AFTER SEVERAL WARNINGS.
B) Causing intentional lag (ie- spawning in thousands of ship cores) will get you banned.
C) Players creating intentional lag on the server will get a 1 warning. If intentionally done again the user will get banned.

BSMO 10-01.1 Towards Players
 

No bullies, we take this VERY serious and could lead to a week's ban (max 7 days)


BSMO 10-01.2 Towards Admins

A) Admins are not allowed to join any players faction. Admins Faction only.
B) Admins are not allowed to give you items or anything that will influence faction wars (ie- removing an enemy home base).

  • Admins cannot give free items to other users.

  • Admins editing factions for unorthodox reasons. Not allowed.

C) Admins will not TP you unless you are stuck or are experiencing bugs that make you unable to do anything.
D) Players that provoke Admins to use their powers in any way other than specified, will be kicked and banned (IP and username).
E) Players that disrespect the admins in any way. ie) the chat in game or the forum. They have been given the authority for a reason. 3-day ban.
F) Asking the admins to edit or delete anything that is not yours will lead to a 3 or 7-day ban. (like removing an enemy home base).

  • Claims to a ship or an entity camping your Faction home can be made and will be investigated. (Reference BSMO 10-03 Section E, first bullet point)



BSMO 10-01.3 Chat Etiquette

A) Repetitive swearing and use of foul language will be given 3 warnings followed by a kick
B) Racism will be given 2 warnings followed by a ban, length to be determined by severity of slander
C) Claiming to be an admin in any manner is ill advised, you will be TOLD ONLY ONCE to stop.

  • Proceeding to not comply will lead to a permanent ban.

  • Ban appeals can be made here Ban Appeal



BSMO 10-02 Size Matters

A) StarMade Skins for your character can not be over 65 KB.
B) Your ship may not be longer/wider or higher than 1500 meters

  • Long ships will cause debugs that slow down the server, You'll get warnings to reduce your ship, and if you fail to do that, the admins will delete it.

  • If you make another one that violates this rule again, you will get banned.

C) Ships Over the size of 10,000 mass may not come to spawn nor park within 2km of spawn (2,2,2)

  • No spawn camping within 10 km of spawn

D) Causing intentional lag (ie- spawning in thousands of ship cores) will get you banned.

  • If your ship causes debugs or heavy lag that makes the game unplayable, the ship will be deleted (you will be warned first and advised to correct it)

  • Even if your ship is not breaking the dimension rule and the ship is still causing lag, you will receive a warning, you can receive a 3-day ban by not obeying request
    E) Faction Stations are allowed within the 5 sector zone of spawn

  • If one of these stations cause lag Admins have permission to relocate or delete it as they see fit

  • So long as a faction base of any sort is within 5 sectors of spawn it may not be equipt with turrets of any sort

E) Ships are limited to 1,000,000 (1 Million) mass. There is no mass restrictions around stations currently.


BSMO 10-02.1 Gun Size

A) Turrets on ships and bases are not allowed to be longer/wider/higher than 500 meters

  • Any home base turrets that is attacking a neighboring home base (camping) will be erased without warning. (Reference BSMO 10-03 Section E, first bullet point)

  • If two factions bases are within turret range of each other and an alliance between the factions can not be formed; and both parties wish to remain where they are, then both factions turrets will be removed

B) No spawn camping or using turrets within 10 km of spawn (2,2,2)

  • If a ship WITH turrets within this area it will be considered spawn camping and the turrets will be deleted

C) Ships with Turrets ARE ALLOWED to spawn camp an enemy home base as long as the owner of the ship is on the ship.


BSMO 10-02.2 Sector Volume

A) If a player or resident has any amount of ships and owns a station or has claimed a planet it is required for the player/ resident to:

  • dock any ship that is in the proximity of a station/claimed planet

  • any ship not in use to be docked as to not cause lag or debug

  • not docking a ship is only permissible whereas a player/resident is active on the vessel



BSMO 10-03 Punishable Offenses

Ban appeals can be made here (Ban Appeal). Be sure to specify the in-game name and that it's on the StarMade server.

A) Any activity which is intended to prevent a player from joining the game, or cause extreme lag to another sector, will result in an immediate permanent ban. Specifically:

  • Sending large numbers of entities (ships/turrets) to a faction homebase to the point that the sector becomes extremely laggy or crashes the server when loaded.


B) SPAMMING OR USING FULL-CAPS LOCK SENTENCES IS A KICK-ABLE/BAN-ABLE OFFENSE AFTER SEVERAL WARNINGS.
C) No spawn camping or griefing the spawn area (2,2,2). This means:

  • If a ship WITH turrets is left within this area it will be considered spawn camping and the turrets will be deleted.

  • Do not engage ships within 10km of spawn.

  • Ships engaged outside the 10km zone are fair game, even if they flee back to spawn

  • No Jump inhibitors at spawn

  • No docking extenders at spawn

  • No pushing undocked ships out of the spawn area

Ships left undocked at spawn will be removed periodically. Dock them or take them to your homebase!
D) No bullies, we take this VERY serious and could lead to a week's ban (max 7 days).
E) Respect the admins. They have been given the authority for a reason.
F) Asking the admins to give you items or delete anything that is not yours will lead to a 3 or 7-day ban. (like removing an enemy homebase).

  • Claims to a ship or an entity camping your Faction home can be made and will be investigated,

  • Parameters needing to be met are:

    1) a request from you to the other player/faction to move the entity
    2) non-compliance by that person/faction to do so

(Faction Wars will void this request and you'll be ignored for any further investigation)

G) Using an exploit will result in a Permanent Ban.

  • Exemptions from exploit bans

1) Reporting a new found Exploit, at this point it is assumed that you or another player has already used it. Whether or not it was intentional an Admin will TELL you not to commit the crime henceforth.


BSMO 10-03.1 Disappearing Act

A) Admins have the right to delete any un-docked ship in any sector causing debug or lag so long as the ships are un-docked.


BSMO 10-04 Admin Harassment

A) Asking the admins to give you items or anything that will influence faction wars (like removing an enemy homebase).
B) Asking admins to TP you

  • unless you are stuck or are experiencing bugs that make you unable to do anything.

C) Players that provoke Admins to use their power will be kicked and banned (IP and username).
D) Players that disrespect the admins in any way. In the chat or in the game or the forum.


BSMO 10-05 Update Exploit

A) Brierie's StarMade server is a VANILLA ONLY server in which the Brierie Staff and its residents are accustomed to playing.

  • Using a found exploit to alter the game in any way is a bannable offense. This offense is NOT up for appeal.

  • Stumbling onto an exploit is not an offense so long as the exploit is reported and that exploit is not used again.


BSMO 10-06 Other information

Please place a Ban Appeal if you feel you've been rongly Banned. Be sure to specify the in-game name and that it's on the StarMade server.
